Mags is from the Beggs Cattle Company (Beggs Cattle Company) which was established in 1876 and thrives today with honors of the AQHA Legacy Award and the Charles Goodnight award due to their contributions to preserve Western heritage and tradition still working cattle with horses and cowboys.
She was originally acquired as a yearling to enhance the Perry Johns breeding program but her first interactions with a child showed her gifts went far beyond genetics. Mags is keenly intelligent, watching every move, incredibly inquisitive, often touching someone from head to toe upon introduction, and tremendously protective of her “herd.” She also seems to pass these characteristics on to her offspring!
